This sculpture is made of a beautiful granite from India that reminds one of a
star-studded night sky. Called "Galaxy Granite", numerous shimmery
filaments in the black stone sparkle and glimmer. The granite has been cut
with four traditional "portals", or gateways, that represent the four directions,
the four seasons, the four elements. Water cascades gently through this
opening. Illuminated within the inner chamber of the sculpture is the
geometric diagram of the Sri Yantra. This diagram is hand-painted by the
artist on semi-opaque white glass. Although red and yellow are traditional
colors for this yantra, these colors can be changed to suite individual
preferences.
